As I often tell those who attend my online French conversation sessions and face to face classes, the best way to improve is to experience the language in everyday life. No learning done from your desk –whether you use an app, a textbook or even attend a class– compares with being surrounded by and using the language everywhere you go. 

With that in mind, I have decided to offer immersive weekends in French.

• Unique: one to one immersion French so you can make the most of your weekend and get all the learning help you need from me, fully designed to your level of French, and tailored to your needs and personal interests.

• Full immersion & real-life situations: get more than just lessons.

Of course you can ask questions and take all the notes you wish.  We can also sit and review some aspects of the language that you need if you wish, but the main focus is to experience the language in real-life situations, so there will be no lesson in the traditional sense of the word. Rather, you will learn on the go and in a natural way, throughout the weekend, through activities and conversations we will have together, all of which will be adapted to your level of French.

Imagine, here are examples of what to expect during your weekend of French immersion in Nice:

• Buying bread and croissants from the boulangerie: practice simple functional French at the baker’s
• Going to the market to buy the fruits and vegetables we need for Saturday lunch: learn the vocabulary and use it straight away both at the market and in the kitchen when we cook lunch together
• Discovering Nice (Promenade des Anglais, the Old Town and much more). There is plenty to do in Nice whether you prefer sightseeing, visiting museums, shopping, or a blend of these.

Each activity and moment of each day will be an opportunity to learn more French. In other words, you will enjoy a full weekend like a local, all in French. I will be here to help and guide you so your learning experience is not only about the language itself, but also about Nice as well as French culture.
